Mark and I had the opportunity to share at a Japanese church this past Sunday. It was so awesome to hear the FEW members there worshiping and praying to God in their language. Of the huge city of Tokushima where we shared, only about 10 people were at the church. PLEASE PRAY. "The harvest is MANY in Japan and the laborers are so few." Posted by Hello
Here is a man watering the concrete buddhas at the temple. This area is for fertility. They approach the idols, bow, and sometimes clap to wake up the gods, then they wash and pour water on the idols. This is why we ask you to pray.  Posted by Hello

Lost

This picture captures Japanese worshiping at a Buddhist Temple. Of the 125 million people living in Japan, atleast 99.5% do not know Jesus Christ.  Posted by Hello

Hito Oyii! This is Japanese for MANY PEOPLE! This week is Golden Week in Japan. It is a week long vacation and brings MANY surfers! This is a small section of the beach. There was 300 people in the water near our home. The beach strand is only a half of a mile. WOW...very dangerous!! Posted by Hello
This little lady was on the road selling her fruit for 300 yen a bag. She was very cute and sweet. We were able to give her a tract of Jesus. Pray that her heart would be open to His message.  Posted by Hello

Better than Life

"O God you are my God; I eagerly seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You; In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness (faithfulness) is BETTER THAN LIFE. My lips will praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; at Your name I will lift up my hands. You satisfy me as with rich food. my mouth will praise You with joyful lips. When on my bed, I think of You, I meditate on You during the night watches because You are my help; I will rejoice in the shadow of Your wings; I follow close to You; Your right hand holds on to me. PSALM 63: 1-8

Japanese style...this is a hole in the floor where they light a fire and grill. It is very neat and does not smoke up the house too bad. The man on the right is Fumiko's father. You can see them sitting on mats on the floor to eat. Posted by Hello
Mark and I with Fumiko's mother and niece and nephew. Posted by Hello

Hungry? This is fresh seaweed drying in the sun to be eaten later. They boil it in water before eating and it turns bright green. Posted by Hello
Neat picture of a local lady on the island Tebashima. On the island there are no cars...you have to ride the ferry to get to it. The island does however have tons of cats. Many of the women dress like this each day to work in their gardens. Posted by Hello
This is what you would expect to see in Japan. FISHERMEN! The boats all look the same and are typical style fishing boats. We see these guys all over the place. Posted by Hello
This is Mark with our Austrailian friends Colin and Jenni. They live about 2 hours away from us but came to stay with us one night last week. We took a ferry boat to a nearby island called Tebashima. There were no waves sow e just hiked around the mountain and swam a bit. They are also christians so God blessed us with some great fellowship. (Not to mention we love their accents!) Posted by Hello
