Yes there are even homeless people in Japan. We saw MANY of these make-shift homes yesterday along the water. In Japan, even the homeless will remove their shoes before entering their cardboard box, or a home like this one. Posted by Picasa

Last night Yu prayed to God and received Jesus Christ as his Savior! We have been sharing with him for the past year and we are so excited for him. He says he now feels "calm" and "clean". Please pray for him as he grows in the Word. Posted by Picasa

Nothing like getting out of a cold ocean to get into a colder shower. Tall guy is Makoto, non Christian, I met him at Murasaki Sports, Japan's largest surf shop chain. He and I get groups together and go surfing on weekends, each new group gets Surfers Bibles ( Bible with surfer testimonies) and "Outsiders", a Christian surf movie that shares God's message and surfing all over the world. Please pray for these groups that God burdens them to read their Bible and that God would open their eyes to His incredible news of how Christ paid in full our debt with the Father, who is "not willing that ANY should perish, but that all should come to repentace" 2 Peter 3:9. The guy on the left is 'Hiromitsu', he and I hit it off well this weekend and are going skating and hanging out together this week. Please pray especially for him to see the joy of God in me and that he'd be open to learning about Jesus. Posted by Picasa

Mark and I were able to return to Shishikui last weekend for a visit. It was so nice to get out of the city and see the ocean and our friends down there. Many are reading their Bibles and we were able to share a bit with them. Please continue to pray for them. Posted by Picasa

A Prayer of David

"Give thanks to the Lord; call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples; .........For the Lord is great and highly praised; He is feared above ALL gods.......let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, "The Lord is King." I Chronicles 16

This is my favorite food in Japan. A raw piece of mackeral, smoked in the flame for 30 seconds, served with soy/lime sauce. Posted by Picasa
