Between the four of us women (other missionaries in Japan) we were able to cook up a nice American style Thanksgiving dinner. YUMMY!

Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving! This Thanksgiving is a bittersweet one. We are happy to be sharing the day with other missionary families in our area that have become our close friends. We will be eating an American Turkey dinner with all the fixings with our friends, the Seelen's. However, the same day our close friends, the Jaski's, will be in Tokyo for a flight layover from picking up their new little girl in China. It will be very hard not being able to see them while they are in the country, not too mention the difficulty of being away from our own families. On the other hand we know that we have so much to be thankful for.
We are thankful for:
Our families,
Lifelong friends and many new friends,
A new sister in law (Erin),
The healing of Uncle Jimmy's menangitis,
New babies and babies on the way for our friends,
New engagaments and marriages of friends,
Nagisa coming to believe in Jesus Christ ,
Our new home in Itami and for our old home in Shishikui,
EMAILS,
Packages,
PRAYERS,
Hunter dog being with us (had to say it),
ETC........
Most of all we are thankful for the fellowship we have now in Japan and for God's Word that always carries us through when things are tough. We are thankful that we do get homesick because we have so many amazing friends and family too miss. We are thankful that we have a Savior who understands homesickness because He had to leave home in HEAVEN for 33 years to provide salvation for us.
We love you all and thank you for your love, prayers, and support of us. We could not make it each day without your prayers. See you all next Thanksgiving in the USA!!
New Link
A few months ago, many of you received an email from us concerning international adoption. Our good friends, The Jaski's are in China now and have picked up the newest member of their family, Lily. Please visit their website under our links (on the right hand side)section of this blog. The link is titled "Lily's New Home".
