Back in the USA

Mark and I are back in the U.S.A. Our time in Japan has ended and a new journey begins. We thank you all for keeping up with us through this site, for your comments, and for your prayers. God is so good. We will continue to update the site with pregnancy and baby pictures. More to come.....

AHHH...the countryside! Mark and I traveled back to the island of Shikoku and our old hometown Shishikui this week. This week was a HUGE holiday in Japan known as Golden Week. We were able to see our friends again and be around a ton of surfers from all over Japan. It was a great time for sharing about Jesus, getting some sun, and for surfing.  

This is ONE of the MANY Buddhist temples in Japan.  

We were able to meet alot of surfers and hand out many Outsider DVD"s while back in Ikumi. The place was PACKED.  

Jennifer with the owner of a small restaurant in Shishikui called Hikosen. It is rather expensive, but has a great atmosphere. See the baby in the belly?

Shikoku is the island that is considered "old Japan". It has many of the traditional looking homes and trees such as this one as opposed to the cities where they are adopting western style homes as the norm. I wish you could see in person how small that truck in the picture truly is.  

These two guys are pilgrims doing their pilgrimage to the 88 Buddhist temples on the island, Shikoku. We saw TONS of them walking along the roads. 

All the azaleas are in bloom here. I love this tunnel with them around it. 

The island of Shikoku is covered with rice fields. Here are some you can see beginning to grow.
